Janina is great at simplifying complex concepts into bit-sized ideas. Even though, some things she thought me I had read them before, they didn't click until she shared clear everyday life examples.

Having said that, what I enjoyed the most about her coaching was when she goes into problem-solving mode. When either myself or someone in the group shared a concrete struggle, she would explain the possible causes and give practical things to try. All of these, based on the theory she clearly explained before.

I feel Dr. Janina's approach really speaks to her understanding of people with ADHD, because I've been to counseling numerous times before this and had not made nearly as much progress as I'd make in 50 minute sessions with her. Don't get me wrong though, it is still up to you to put in the work outside of sessions and actually make the changes though. It's absolutely worth every penny, because I'd spend even more pennies on something else if not for the budgeting skills I've learned. Dr. Janina gives you the opportunity to work on anything you want. For example I did budgeting one week, then jumped to doing homework on time, it can really be whatever you make it. I absolutely recommend taking sessions if you've tried other things to manage ADHD and have not been successful.

I enjoyed the coaching very much, and I learned great ways to help me regulate and moderate my ADHD Symptoms! It was wonderfully insightful, and I learned a lot. Knowing that others are also experiencing this is comforting.
